Aimée García

lives and works in Havana, Cuba.

Aimée García studied at the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana, Cuba, graduating in 1996. Subsequently, she undertook further qualification at the Escuela Profesional de Artes Plásticas, Camagüey, Cuba. Since the mid-1990’s, she has established herself as a painter and conceptual artist with a focus on female identity, crafts practices and the Cuban political and public sphere.
